Poacher Gilet vs. The Sea
We wanted to put our Poacher Gilets to a final test in a wilderness of Great Britain and we found the perfect team to do it. The Coastal Exploration Company, founded by ex Royal Marine Henry, navigate their restored traditional wooden sail boats through the salt marshes of North Norfolk.
The salt marshes lie on the coast of North Norfolk and are made of a web of creeks, sometimes only half a foot deep, that spread their way through the marshes. They are considered one of Britain's true wilderness and internationally recognised for their birdlife. The protected marshes are also almost impossible to navigate without an intimate knowledge of the area and the tides, and on a windy wild day, Henry and his motley crew donned our Poacher Gilets and set sail through the marshes' old smuggling routes.
